Purple Mountains -- Purple Mountains
David Berman's last project. A very sad album with at least one song that anyone can very deeply relate to. The light of my life's going out tonight in a champagne pink corvette / I sleep three feet above the street in a band aid pink chevette. The writing across the whole album is incredible, if you get a chance, or can even find it, his poetry book actual air is great as well. My favorite songs were Snow is Falling in Manhatten and I Loved Being My Mother's Son.
For the Rest of Your Life -- Twikipedia
An album that I missed initially by not giving it a chance but that has since grown to be one of my favorites. I've been listening to Twikipedia since the album chronic which I enjoyed at the time. She is one of the artists from that scene that managed to grow and evolve as time went on expanding into different genres and making great music from when she made music as D2LTA to now as key vs. lockett. My favorite songs are Seams and Paper Planes.
